GDTA Walk, Sun Sep 27 Vaughan Circuit (based on #15 in the CHV Walks book)
12km medium difficulty, some steep and off track

A walk through the Sebastopol Goldfield in the Upper Loddon Forest / Castlemaine Diggings National Park. The walk loosely follows Walk #15 in the CHV Walks & Rides book but with some added, random bits in the Upper Loddon Forest, Lots of ruins, old diggings and maybe an archeological dig.

Bookings open about 10 days before (17th Sept) the event date and close Thursday at 11.45pm prior.
It is recommended you carry a first aid kit, your own medication, drinking water and food for morning tea and lunch.

HEALTH AND SAFETY: If you are ill on the day of the walk, please stay at home. Please call or text the walk leader if you are unable to attend.
GUEST MEMBERSHIP AND INSURANCE: The walk is free to GDTA members. Non members are required to pay a $10 registration fee and sign in to validate insurance cover under the Bushwalking Victoria insurance policy. Please note that children under 5 years cannot be covered by this policy.
DOGS: Dogs are allowed on this walk but should be on a lead.
REGISTRATION: Registration via the GDTA website is essential. https://www.gdt.org.au/events/vaughan-circuit() Bookings open on 21 September. Check your email for confirmation. If you don’t get one within a couple of hours, contact the walk organiser.
BRING: It is recommended that you carry a personal first aid kit, your own medication, water bottles, sunscreen and personal hiking gear (sun glasses, walking sticks, small pack, etc). Wear clothing appropriate for the predicted weather conditions on the day. Bring water and light refreshments as needed.
MEET: You can expect to be contacted by email by the walk leader with final details, including where and when we meet, a day or two in advance of the walk day.
