TIME: Meet at 7.20am for a 7.30am  start.
DURATION: 2.5 hours; back at start by 10am.

DESCRIPTION:
The 8.5 km ‘Creswick Heritage Walk’ offered by Great Dividing Trail Association (GDTA) as part of the Cresfest 2024 program on both the Saturday or Sunday aims to show you thee is much more to Creswick just beyond the main street. It is easy to medium difficulty with a few steep slopes. The loop walk includes the historic Creswick Forestry School arboretum and grounds, the La Gerche Trail, excellent regional views of the volcanic plains from Brackenbury Hill and a walk back to the start along the picturesque St Georges Lake and Creswick Creek.
REGISTRATION: Registration one day in advance is essential. Bring  $5 in cash on the day to cover insurance.

BRING: Walkers (who are not GDTA members)  $5 cash as the start of the walk to cover visitor insurance should bring their own first-aid kit and any required personal medications, water bottle, sun screen and personal hiking gear. Wear clothing appropriate for the predicted weather conditions on the day. Hiking boots or good walking shoes are recommended.
