Andersons Tramway Walk/Ride

ANDERSONS TRAMWAY WALK/RIDE (7.4 km)

Mollongghip – Wombat Station

The Andersons Tramway Walk criss-crosses a 19th century tramway system used to carry logs felled in the Wombat Forest to a sawmill in Barkstead.

Through forest to a clearing with a gold sluicing dam, Mullens Dam, that in good seasons holds water (not recommended for drinking) but is a good spot for a break.

Downwards on old logging tracks through regrowth forest, finally crossing gravel 2WD Rocklyn Rd to Wombat Station.
