DURATION: The walk will finish about 12:30 (3 hours). Allow another two hours if you want to stay for lunch and a swim.

DESCRIPTION: This easy 8 km walk will start with an official launch of the GDTA’s Lerderderg Track Interpretive Signage project. Signage designed and installed by the GDTA tells stories about the people, the history, the flora, fauna and geography along the 87 km Lerderderg Track. The route will take in the railway cutting and historic trestle bridge at Jubilee Lake and will include three of the interpretive signage sites at Lake Daylesford, Cornish Hill and Jubilee Lake. The walk will finish at Central Springs Reserve with a picnic lunch and swim in Lake Daylesford.

REGISTRATION: Registration is essential no later than Friday January 26.

BRING: Walkers should bring their own first-aid kit and any required personal medications, water bottles, sun screen and personal hiking gear (sun glasses, walking sticks, small pack, etc). Wear clothing appropriate for the predicted weather conditions on the day. Hiking boots or good walking shoes are recommended. Bring light refreshments for morning tea and a picnic lunch. If you plan to swim, bring bathers and a towel.
