DESCRIPTION: This is an event for GDTA members and invited guests only.

The walk will follow the Lerderderg Heritage River Walk on the west side of the river to Crown Dam and return via the Lerderderg Track on the sameside of the river. The walk is mostly on made tracks and 4WD tracks although there are a few obstacles along the way.

A FREE lunch will immediately follow the walk at the Garden of St Erth Cafe starting at 12:30 pm. We will have our main launch of the Lerderderg Track Interpretive Signage Project during the Lunch, at their Café starting at 12:30 pm. This will be a Free lunch for members and invited guests. Lunch menu is a vegetarian tart, salad, glass of wine and coffee/tea. Depending on numbers and weather, we could be outside in a covered area or in an indoor function room.

AMMENITIES: There is a toilet block at the Garden of St Erth carpark where the walk will start and finish.

DOGS: Dogs are allowed on the walk but not in the Garden of St Erth or in the Café where we will have lunch.

REGISTRATION: Registration is essential no later than Mid-day Monday, March 18. We need early registrations so that we can confirm catering numbers.

BRING: Walkers should bring their own first-aid kit and any required personal medications, water bottles, sun screen and personal hiking gear (sun glasses, walking sticks, small pack, etc). Wear clothing appropriate for the predicted weather conditions on the day. Hiking boots or good walking shoes are recommended. Bring light refreshments for morning tea.
