CVH Walks & Rides Review

Central Victorian Highlands Walks & Rides Review

Each of the 20 walks and 10 bike rides in the new Central Victorian Highlands Walk and Ride Circuits guide is supported by full colour, large scale contour maps alongside detailed accompanying track notes. It’s sturdy, wiro bound and well-designed – features that replicate the style of our award-winning Goldfields Track guide. Graded from easy to hard, the circuits are scattered around all points of the compass within a 25km radius from Daylesford.

A team of five GDTA members with vast collective experience specifically devised the walk and ride circuits, all of which are short enough to complete in around four hours. And because all of the routes presented are circuits, there’s no fiddling around with car shuttles.

Most people heading out into the bush for a walk or a mountain bike ride don’t have all day. We’ve wanted for many years to make Daylesford’s fabulously varied terrain more easily accessible – from the vastness of the Wombat Forest to the Central Highlands’ lakes and riversides, from its abandoned railway lines to gold rush era ruins. Funding support from the Community Bank Daylesford District has made this possible at a reasonable price – visit SHOP to purchase your copy of the guide.

“For many years, the Great Dividing Trail Association has built pathways that lead people into the great outdoors, whether for physical exercise or simply to refresh the spirit through contact with the natural world. “This new guide to shorter circuit walks and rides around Daylesford has the same high quality production that won awards for the GDTA’s Goldfields Track Walk or Ride Guide. It will be a welcome addition to the packs of locals and visitors alike.”
