INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN DAY WALKS from 6 – 10 DECEMBER + BOOK LAUNCH & DJAARA CELEBRATION on 11 DECEMBER

GDTA has organised a series of walks and community events between 6-11 December in collaboration with DJAARA (the Traditional Owners), Outdoors Victoria, Federation University, Hepburn Shire, Mt Alexander Shire and Central Goldfields Shire in the lead up to International Mountain Day (IMD) and Barry Golding’s Six Peak Speak book launch. GDTA Walk bookings (in bold below)open two weeks prior to each walk, and are already open for GDTA’s Friday  6 Dec Gurutjanga (Mt Kooroocheang) cultural landscape tour and walk.  No bookings are required for the local community presentations, but the 11 Dec DJAARA celebration at Mt Franklin does require registration via DJAARA.
