GDTA GUIDED WALK – OVER THE TOP (#9)
DATE: Sunday, May 28
TIME: 9:30 -1:30 (3 ½ to 4 hours including rest breaks) DIFFICULTY MEDIUM
WALK LEADER: Mike Gustus (e: mikegustus55@gmail.com) (m: 0400 214 055)
DESCRIPTION: This walk is 11km along bush tracks through dense regrowth manna and messmate gum forest that has been logged for 150 years. What makes this walk medium instead of easy is there will be some track blockages to negotiate. We’ll get up close to the big trees. Highlights of the circuit will be crossing the headwaters of the Werribee River and walking over the top of the Great Divide twice. The walk is Walk #9 in the GDTA’s Central Victorian Walk and Rides Circuits booklet.
