GDTA September Guided Walk

Sunsay September 18

Walk Grade Medium-Hard

Leader Ed Butler

The walk will be about 10 km and will be off-track for several km through light scrub. The walk is similar to last years wander through the goldfields of the Upper Loddon Forest featuring an extensive set of ruins, mines and sluiced gullies dating from the 1850’s. We will walk through some undisturbed Stringybark/Grey Box forest to areas that still bear the scars of mining after 160 years. Owing to some rough parts and slippery gullies, good boots & walking poles are recommended. Bring a lunch, water, personal 1st aid kit and a sense of humour.

Covid restrictions allow us a group of 30, mask wearing is a personal preference and walkers are urged to keep a social distance where possible

Please register via the following link and submit a separate form for each walkerhttps://gdt.org.au/sep-walk-rego

Where to meet etc will be provided after registration.

The advertised Upper Loddon walk has been postponed to a date to be fixed.
